Building Confidence and Leadership in Chinese Teens

Through growing up in a Chinese
family and an American social
environment, issues with self-identity
are a problem that Chinese teens can’t
avoid. Many Chinese schools make a
great effort at helping students to
understand and embrace their culture,
but the current teaching is still not
enough. This lecture hopes to help
teens develop confidence and
leadership through the personal
experience of a Chinese-American high
school student. As well as the struggles
Chinese-Americans can encounter
during the college application process
and how we can also demonstrate
qualities that American society values.
